Carbines are versatile and effective tools for tactical and defensive scenarios. At Shannon Taylor Tactical Training, our carbine classes are designed to help participants master the operation and handling of carbines in both controlled and high-pressure environments. Whether you’re just beginning or want to elevate your existing skills, our expert instructors and comprehensive curriculum provide everything you need to succeed.
All classes are for participants 18+ only.

What the Class Covers
Our carbine classes offer hands-on, expert-led training that helps participants develop critical skills for real-world applications. Key learning points include:

Firearm Safety
Learn the essential rules for handling, storing, and transporting your rifle.

Proper Handling
Understand the techniques for loading, unloading, and maintaining your rifle.

Shooting Techniques
Improve your accuracy with guidance on stance, aim, and trigger control.

Situational Awareness
Develop the skills to think quickly and adapt to various scenarios.
Equipment Required for classes:
Carbine Classes
- Ammunition (bring a minimum of 1000 rounds of ammunition for 3 day class and 500 rounds for 1 day class).
- M-4 or similar platform.
- Magazine pouch able to hold two spare magazines (a minimum of three magazines for class).
- Some type of sling system.
It is recommended that you also have a handgun duty type belt (listed above) to be able to perform transition drills.
Additional Items Needed
- Personal hygiene items, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.
- Insect repellent.
- Sunscreen.
- Quality footwear.
- Quality rain gear.
- Hat or some type of head covering.
- Ear and Eye protection.
- Any emergency medicines (ex: Epipens).
